CodeSwitching.org, is a project team, dedicated to promoting the use of real world use of language: The Spoken Word! We are into Linguistics, Pedagogy, Design, Audio Tech, A.I. This is a not for profit project. Connect with us if you´re interested in any of the above. We are seeking collaboration with anyone to accompany us on this journey to speak the world.
Children and adults, with varied pitches voicing highly structured data is just what is needed to feed the language models. As Codeswitch phrases are recognised by the user, their voice reflects their competence in expression. This allows fuzzy logic to be mined in the data.
Codeswitching is structured on fundamental linguistic patterns. We present Verbs and Nouns as two shapes : a Circle and a Hexagon, Each has their specific modifiers and properties. By mashing this up we reflect language. By putting a voice behind these mashes we can speak and understand any spoken word. A single course for a global learner.
This project is scope limited. We want to express the most common sounds and phrases in each language: around 30 audio hours. But we want to present it in the most beautiful, challenging and impactful way possible. We'd love to get your input.
This could be the holy grail of testing the spoken word. Currently testing spoken comptence is costly and it's difficult to ensure consistent marking. Codeswitching allows users to permit external testing.
Teachers also have a lot to gain here from solid linguistics to the natural stress and cadence patterns of native speakers.
Education bodies can support teacher development by using our methodology to enhance classroom conversation.
